Getting Started with Your Charter

How do I arrange a LUXURIME yacht charter?

Arranging your private yacht experience with LUXURIME is effortless. Connect with one of our senior charter advisors via phone, WhatsApp, or email. We take the time to understand your lifestyle, preferences, and aspirations for the journey. Drawing on our in-depth knowledge of the world’s finest yachts and destinations, we curate a bespoke proposal featuring hand-selected vessels aligned with your vision of refined yachting.

What type of yacht should I charter?

LUXURIME offers privileged access to an exceptional global fleet of luxury yachts. From sleek motor yachts and elegant sailing yachts to spacious catamarans, motor sailers, and classic gulets, the ideal choice depends on your party’s dynamics and desired onboard experience. Share your guest profile, lifestyle preferences, and expectations, and we will discreetly match you with the perfect vessel.

How far in advance should I book?

To secure your preferred yacht, crew, and dates, we recommend planning several months ahead—particularly during peak Mediterranean and Caribbean seasons. That said, LUXURIME also specializes in accommodating short-notice requests, subject to availability.

Destinations & Timing

Where can I charter a yacht with LUXURIME?

Our curated portfolio spans the world’s most coveted cruising grounds - from the glamour of the French Riviera and the elegance of the Greek Isles to the crystal waters of the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, and the South Pacific. Whether you envision Amalfi’s dramatic coastline or remote, untouched anchorages, our advisors will guide you with precision.

When is the best time to charter a yacht?

Each destination has an ideal season. The Mediterranean is at its finest from May to September, while the Caribbean shines from December to April. Our team will recommend the optimal destination based on your travel dates, climate preferences, and desired atmosphere.

The Onboard Experience

How is my itinerary designed?

Every LUXURIME itinerary is entirely bespoke. Working closely with you and the Captain, we craft a fluid journey - from anchorages and shore experiences to dining reservations and leisure activities. Flexibility and freedom are at the heart of the private yachting experience.

What onshore experiences can be arranged?

From private beach picnics and cultural immersions to world-class diving, wine estates, Michelin-starred dining, designer shopping, and secluded hideaways, possibilities are limitless. Each experience is curated to reflect your interests and the character of your destination.

Can I personalize the menu?

Absolutely. Prior to embarkation, you’ll complete a detailed preference profile covering dietary requirements, culinary tastes, and beverage selections. Your private chef will then design a bespoke gourmet menu tailored exclusively to you and your guests.

Will I stay connected while onboard?

Most LUXURIME yachts are equipped with satellite internet and mobile connectivity, subject to cruising location. We provide full contact details for your vessel to ensure peace of mind and seamless communication throughout your journey.

Charter Formalities

What is the APA and how does it work?

The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) covers variable operating expenses such as fuel, provisioning, beverages, dockage, and special requests. Managed transparently by your Captain, detailed accounts are provided during and after the charter, with any unused funds refunded. APA typically ranges from 25-40% of the base charter fee, depending on the yacht and itinerary.

When is final payment due?

Final payment, including the APA, is generally due five weeks prior to embarkation. Your LUXURIME advisor will clearly outline all financial terms specific to your charter.

Why is personal identification required?

In line with international compliance standards within the luxury yachting industry, LUXURIME may request limited identification details as part of standard Know Your Client (KYC) procedures. This secure and discreet process ensures legitimacy and compliance, particularly in regulated jurisdictions. Your privacy is paramount, and all information is handled with absolute confidentiality.

What is the Captain’s role?

Beyond navigating the vessel, your Captain oversees safety, operations, and logistics while collaborating with the crew to deliver an exceptional onboard experience. All LUXURIME captains and crews are selected for their professionalism, discretion, and service excellence.

Is crew gratuity expected?

Gratuities are discretionary and depend on destination and service level. As a general guideline, 10–15% of the base charter fee is customary for excellent service, while exceptional experiences may warrant 20% or more-entirely at your discretion.

Reserving your yacht with LUXURIME is seamless. Simply submit a request through our website or speak directly with one of our charter concierges for a fully tailored experience.

For optimal yacht selection and preferred dates, we recommend booking several weeks in advance, particularly during peak seasons.

Your charter includes the yacht, professional crew, standard onboard amenities, and personalized service. Additional bespoke services can be arranged upon request.

Certain costs, such as fuel, premium catering, port fees, and special requests, may be billed separately. All expenses are clearly outlined and transparently presented before confirmation.

LUXURIME offers flexible charters ranging from half-day escapes to extended multi-day voyages, depending on the yacht and destination.

A customary tip is 10% to 20% of the base charter fee, usually given to the Captain at the end of the trip to be distributed among the crew.

Charters usually follow MYBA (Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) or similar standard contracts, which detail specific penalties based on how close to the date you cancel.

Common items include jet skis, paddleboards, snorkeling gear, and inflatable slides. Always check if a specific toy requires a license (like a PWC permit).

Most modern yachts have satellite internet or 4G/5G boosters, but connectivity can be spotty when far offshore or in remote coves.

Most yachts have a strict "no pets" policy to protect the interior fabrics and carpets, though some owners may make exceptions for small dogs.

Due to international maritime regulations (SOLAS), most private yachts are capped at 12 guests, regardless of how many cabins they have.

Smoking is almost always prohibited inside the yacht. Most yachts allow smoking only in designated areas on the aft deck.

Children are welcome, but the crew are not professional nannies. If you have young children, you may need to bring a nanny or ensure the yacht is "child-safe" (e.g., has safety netting).

Charters typically start at noon and end at noon, though this can sometimes be negotiated.

The Captain has the final say on safety. If the weather prevents cruising, you may spend time in a protected bay or at a port. Refunds are rarely given for weather unless the yacht is deemed unsafe.

While the yacht is insured, it is highly recommended that guests purchase "Trip Cancellation" and "Charterer's Liability" insurance for extra protection.

Yachts carry advanced first aid kits, and the crew is trained in basic medical response. Large superyachts may have a dedicated medical professional or remote "tele-med" services.

In many regions (like the Mediterranean), you must have a valid PWC license to operate jet skis. Some yachts are "Rya Training Centers" and can license you on the spot.

Static charters (staying at the dock for an event) are possible, but guest limits often increase, and extra fees/security deposits usually apply.
